Lacock in Wiltshire and stay in an ancient inn, where we would sleep in a bed which once belonged to Isambard Kingdom Brunel, have a lovely lunch, explore the National Trust Abbey there, do some walking and have afternoon tea somewhere. (We did these things a couple of years ago for my birthday, and also attended a Carol service in the church which ended with a mince pie and a glass of wine.)
