Wedding Dresses

Having spotted the 'What was your wedding dress like?' thread, I thought I'd post a picture of my fifteen year old DGD wearing mine. It has yellowed with age but we were thrilled with how beautifully she shows it off even though it's two sizes too big!! It looks completely different on her - farm more 'hippy' than my 'sixties' look with short hair and pillbox cap (which hasn't survived)

Oh to be a size 10 again. (sigh emoticon)

Strange, last night galen was the right way up and now she's upside down and GA is sideways confused. Very odd things iPads!

They are all the right way up on mine!!

Some really lovely photos. I don't have any of my first wedding but I may have some of my second one - if I can find them, I shall ask whichever offspring walks through the door first if they can scan them onto the laptop, can they be posted on here.

It's been lovely seeing you all on your special day, looking so pretty and happy.

Now how did that happen? I've been magically righted in the night! confused

Well, I'm still head over heels on mine. I did it by taking a photo of a photo and whichever way I turned the iPad it ended up like that.
I gave up! [chicken emoticon]

All of them appeared the right way up on my PC - I did wonder why you'd posted that 'head over heels' straight after your photo, Galen!

Galen Sat 28-Jun-14 21:20:28

How very strange! Must be an "iPad" thing

Galen Sat 28-Jun-14 21:21:23

GA is sideways on mine!

Galen Sat 28-Jun-14 21:21:50

GNHQ can you help?

grannyactivist Sat 28-Jun-14 23:17:11

Galen you're the right way up on mine. Oddly when I first posted I was sideways but by this morning the photo fairies had visited and I was the right way up.

23 October 1971.

White satin type full length dress with a lace bolero top.

I couldn't afford to pay for my bridesmaid's dress so she wore her wedding dress with a similar bolero top in a colour I can't remember .

Got married at Holy Trinity Church Stratford upon Avon where Shakespeare is buried - not sure if that is relevant to this thread. hmm

Ooh er! Put this on last night and it was there, then disappeared. Now it's back. Strange! Looking at all the lovely frocks, it stands out how covered up we were. Most wedding dresses now are much more revealing shock

Lovely photos! I am also getting married soon can anyone suggest that from where should I buy my wedding dresses? One of my friends has suggested me (http://www.designerforum.com.au/designers/finders-keepers-1.html)designerforum, but I don't have any idea about it. Can anyone suggest, will it be a good choice?
