Me too. I believe you are meeting in the Botanics? My sister's and my mum's ashes are buried under a beech tree near the herbaceous border. I visit Edinburgh fairly often to see BiL and nieces, but only arrived in UK yesterday so it was a bit too soon to make the trip up north.
Just home after a lovely lunch and chat. Enjoyed our walk this morning after confusion all round but everyone was located in the end. We went to the herbaceous border but couldn't be sure which beech tree we should have looked for Bellasnana however we did think of your mother and sister. Its a lovely place. Looking forward to the next meet up (no bunk house though!)
Thankyou for suggesting a meetup yesterday Elegran really enjoyed it. Botanic Gdns is lovely. Never seen so many squirrels in one place! Lovely to meet you grannyg1 Thanks all for your good company.
Another great meet-up. So nice to have a good chat and meet a new member. I did wonder what the two women at the next table thought of our conversation - I noticed they went quiet while we were discussing Italian bouncers in kilts.
Marmight - Some of us did walk in the gardens before our meal, while it was still dry.
Just read in the news that there was a crash and fire on the way to Livingstone, and traffic disrupted because of it. Probably still causing trouble generally when you came over.
