Change, add or subtract a letter

This replaces the original thread due to modifications to the rules

NEW RULES
You can change, add or subtract a letter and reshuffle the letters to make a new word.
You may make up to TWO amendments. For example you can:
a) change two letters
b) add two letters
c) subtract two letters
d) change one letter and subtract one letter
e) change one letter and add one letter

The last submission on the original thread was by Grandma2213 so we'll start with her word:

Interesting point Bellanonna. I looked it up and came across the following example sentences:

He experienced an absurd guilt, told himself she wasn't going to be back here soon enough to notice, and felt guiltier still.
His expression was one of sympathy rather than condemnation, which made Tara feel even guiltier.
