The Lottery

DH has just checked the lottery and, of course, we haven’t won but it got me thinking what would I do if we had a really bit win (talking many millions)? Of course I would make sure that my family were well catered for but then it would be lovely to set up some sort of charity and make a big difference to some people’s lives.
What would other GNs do?

Pay off the kids mortgages, cars, etc., big once in a lifetime holiday for us all then living the life we want. Really good quality food, days out, theatre, concerts, cinema, etc. wouldn’t move, love where we are. Might buy the flat next door for guests, though 😁
Mum will need residential care in the not too distant future so would help out with that.

Were it many millions, would set up a housing trust and build some truly affordable homes.

Depends on how much was won - lovely to pay off my mortgage, my kids mortgages and book myself into a retreat for six months to concentrate solely on myself and getting my health better then help out those who have been kind to my family recently. But last two lottery wins were for £5 each so not much I could do with that.

Family first and second. We live comfortably enough now but it would nice e nice to be future proofed too.

My offsprings would be sorted out and then would buy houses/ flats for the homeless, they break my heart.

I was only talking to my Son about this yesterday. There was a time when I would get a nice house/car etc but now I'd arrange to have my eyes done, get my knee replacement done, and get my feet sorted 😂

Sort out family members.
Love to help our local hospice, who are struggling.
My dad had a few hours care one afternoon a week with them.
They were absolutely wonderful with him.

Obviously family first, clear their mortgages/get them to trade up to their dream homes, invest for the DGSs and make sure all are catered for, but aware of I/CGTaxes to come! A new Aston Martin would be delivered to my door!
I wouldn’t move, but might invest in a place beside the sea around Bamburgh for weekends, etc. My annual visit to New York would be with first class flights and I’d stay at The Lotte Palace every time. A massive win would see me employing someone to look for local deserving causes and making anonymous donations to them.
As I don’t gamble, it’s all pie in the sky, but no amount of money would get DD2 out of her wheelchair and back into the World of walking.
