Seeing as Matthew Rhys was so acclaimed by the EMMYs for his role in this, we thought we'd give it a go. Is anyone else watching it? What do you think of it?

We watched a few episodes and then OH decided he doesn't like ghost stories! 👻 I thought it was good and Matthew Rhys was excellent.

I keep meaning to go back to it but in this house we have so many "Continue watching..." reminders, it's worrying!

Yes, I’m in agreement with your husband!

I loved it. Very different and the main characters are intriguing.

I couldn't get into it. I do agree Matthew Rhys is an excellent actor, good to know he's getting the recognition in that respect. I enjoyed his performance in "The Beast in Me" He always does a very good American accent, I bet many of his American audience don't even know he's Welsh.

We loved it. Very Steven King-ish but with humour. Very much looking forward to season 2.
We were watching the Beast in Me at the same time and it was astounding how different Matthew Rhys was in both parts. He is a fantastic actor.

Watched all of it. Loved all of it. Matthew Rhys excellent as always.
There's a bit of spooky stuff that you might find offputting if you don't like that kind of thing ?

Rhys was double-excellent in the Americans.
Excellent as Perry Mason.
Loved him in the Beast in Me (what a great psychopath he brings to the screen).
He did a short turn in "Girls" playing a priapic author / tutor who persistently seduced his students. Hannah (Lena Dunham's character), a great fan of his work, goes to his house to interview him and calls out his behaviour. Rhys's character convinces Hannah that the girls were all fully concensual and He is No Big Bad Wolf. Then he attempts a seduction of Hannah which she rejects. The expression on his face when he observes her realising that she has been tricked is worth an Oscar on its own. It sounds 'orrible but it was very funny. A real Stinker out of Rhys's box of tricks.

I won't be watching. I'm American but I don't like spooky type.

He was a very good Darcy in Death Comes to Pemberley....and also excellent in The Americans. I've been a fan of his ever since I saw him in the Dylan Thomas film, The Edge of Love which was quite a while ago.
