Yes we're watching it. It's very moving, sad and dreadful. Maxine Peake is brilliant in it.

I have mentioned the DH and DS2 were there as Forest supporters. DH and I chose not to watch it but DS2 did. He was 14 at the time. He found it really upsetting.

Kittylester that is sad so can understand why your DH chose not to watch it. Trying to work out how old your son is now my maths is useless. I expect your son would find it upsetting but he probably felt compelled to watch it.

I have been watching it and Maxine Peake is brilliant in it, I chose to watch because over the years you still hear about it, I also wonder how the parents/partners siblings of those that perished in such a tragic way coped with their lives in the aftermath particularly with all the lies and cover-ups that followed for many years.
A tragic day for all concerned many just going to the match and so many that did not return home after it.

DS2 is 48 now. I think that if it happened now, we would think more about the effect it had on him and, maybe seek counselling.

But, none of that compares with how awful it was for the Liverpool fans.

I couldn't make myself watch 'Anne'. I watched the tragedy unfold live on TV on the day with my newborn on my lap, feeling very emotional. Tragic, and so traumatic for those families and the city.
Simultaneously on BBC2, there was a documentary about serial killer, Bible John. Tragic, and so traumatic for those families and a different city.
And ITV had 'Four Lives' at 9pm, about the effect of 4 murders on their families, with the info blurb saying there were scenes that viewers might find upsetting.
A light-hearted alternative would have been nice.

I thought it was very good, what Anne did was very inspiring. The end of the programme was very moving.

Have just seen the last episode of 'Anne'. To say it was heart breaking doesn't describe the emotion. I came close to sobbing several times and Maxine Peake's performance was absolutely outstanding.

I found the last episode of Anne very moving and so emotional but she campaigned until she used the last breath in
her body. I found I shed a few tears when she managed to get to the stadium for the 24th year reunion (I think it was the 24th) and she told family and friends she would be there.
Three days later she passed away all so sad to say the least.
