It is difficult when there are only 3 people in their own houses to laugh at the jokes. There seems to be a bit of a lag. Now The Last Leg, (last night) had four cameras, in London, Huddersfield, and Melbourne. And one other for each of three guests, the jokes caused the right reactions at the right time, and it was a lot slicker than HIGNFY
HIGNFY is a favourite in our house, but it took a while to get used to new format. Not keen on David T’s presentation or hair, but we like Steph McGovern, Stephen Mangan, and Jo Brand to name a few who have fronted it in recent months.
For the first time this week I was watching HIGNFY wondering why do I bother anymore. Particularly unfunny, don’t think David Tennant was to blame. Don’t know the name of the male guest but he thought whatever he said was very amusing though I couldn’t see why. The female guest contributed very little but even so Ian Hislop seemed to think the whole programme was an absolute hoot. Beginning to think he has been on the pop when he takes part in the programme from home. Yes, they are trying under very difficult circumstances but the whole thing is now becoming very trying.
