Is anyone watching this series? I have been watching it on I Player as i missed it when it first started.Last night i started to watch it as it was aired as i had finally caught up with the series. But, after the first few minutes i had to turn off, it was far to scary, too blood thirsty and violent and i know would have given me nightmares. I will have to watch on I Player so that i can fast forward any further violence which is what i did on the previous episodes, i really want to know the awful murderer gets his come uppance!!! Does anyone else fast forward sections of programs which are far to awful to watch??

I watched a couple of them, and yes I did ff through bits. At first I was interested to know the back story of it all.. Last night was one where he meet another young man and his dog.

That worried me. I started fast forwarding a bit, but it all seemed bloody and violent. I won't watch any more. Hate setting violence like that.

I googled, and the murderer was caught about a week later, he shot himself. I think her killed 4 others, that we know of. Seemed to be an evil nutter.

How long is this thing its seems to be going on forever?

I watched the first two on iPlayer but haven't had time to watch any more just yet. I found it strangely compelling but disturbing.

We are watching this too. Like merlot I find it strangely compelling but a difficult watch.

Yes I found it compelling, only tuned in originally because I remember visiting Versace's house (the outside) on South Beach, soon after his assassination. I don't remember too much about his murderer, but the actor who plays him is mesmerising what a psycho he was.

Going back to earlier episodes Penelope Cruz makes a very attractive Donatella wink

Watched this the whole way through the actor who plays Andrew Cunanan deserves an Oscar he was brilliant. Ended now but glad I stuck with it very good.

I agree with you Overthehill I enjoyed it well not sure enjoyed is the right word and think the guy played a great part

I also watched this but stopped after the episode where (trying not to give away SPOILERS here) the two lovely young friends were so senselessly murdered by Cunanan, it was too upsetting for words and I thought I don't want to know any more. I kept on willing his victims to knock his glasses off and overpower him. Surely without his glasses on, he would have been easily overcome?

I also started watching it because we had gone to the Versace villa in Miami - (well, the tour bus we were on stopped there).

I agree the actor playing Cunanan is extremely convincing.

I started it too but gave up after a couple of episodes because it was just too horrible. The other reason is that the actor playing the murderer looks very like a young work colleague who is a very nice young man!!

travelsafar Thu 26-Apr-18 08:03:31

I also stopped after seeing how he murdered his two friends. I couldn't bear the violence any longer even with my finger on the FF button!!!!

BlueBelle Thu 26-Apr-18 08:06:29

But real life is violent

Jane10 Thu 26-Apr-18 09:18:01

Did you watch it BlueBelle? It was pretty sick stuff.

TerriBull Thu 26-Apr-18 09:48:41

It was very violent, but that unfortunately was the nature of Andrew Cunanan's killing spree. The young actor who played him was outstanding, quite brilliant.

travelsafar Thu 26-Apr-18 12:43:40

Bluebell yes real life can be violent but you have a choice with TV the off button!!!!!

Grannyknot Thu 26-Apr-18 13:15:24

I just watched the last episode. The other actor in the show who is brilliant, is the older woman who plays the QVC type perfume saleswoman and whose husband was also a victim. She is so believable...! Talk about standing by your man.

It does make me wonder about successful older married men who are prepared to get involved in high risk situations with young "rent boys". E.g. you'd think someone like her husband who went to great lengths to live a carefully constructed respectable life, would avoid getting himself tied up, gagged and blindfolded for a thrill! Weird.

Yes Grannynot she too was very good. I suppose rich gay older men are attracted to young handsome men in the same way older straight men like young girls and as you say it usually ends in disaster....not murder hopefully though!
