Has anyone seen this yet? I'm currently watching the original film [the directors cut on] and the documentary about the making of the film [wanted to be up to speed with it all before I watch the sequel].Have to admit to finding it heavy going and am wondering whether to just wait till the new one comes out on dvd as it's very very long!

Yes, and I loved it!

It's long, but it's gripping. The story is part mystery, part action. It's more coherent than the original, maybe because you already know about replicants. The cinematography is brilliant, so I would suggest seeing it on the big screen at the cinema, to get the best out of it.

Looking forward to seeing it, but do wonder if the original can be bettered.

The new one is a masterpiece.

Hoping to see it in a week or so; our small cinema has stopped showing it so it'll have to be at one of the larger/louder cinemas. I'm still watching the 'making of'' documentary which seems to go on for hours [keep dipping into it]. Mark Kermode said he'd made a documentary about it, too. Annoyingly I have the 'final cut' dvd and I heard the 'directors cut' is the one to see.

I went to see it yesterday.
In a nutshell I thought it was beautifully shot, about half an hour too long and far too loud! Am I turning into a GOW?

Most films are half an hour too long! As my hearing is going the loudness doesn't bother me too much...
