watched this on play back yesterday and can not believe it took so long to find the car and driver on the roundabout!!

Surely there must of been tracks from the road to where the car landed.

Cant bear to think the poor man may still have been alive and couldnt raise attention to his plight!!!!

The woodland was pretty dense, and they were looking for a missing person, not a dead one. I missed the first few minutes, but wasn't there a delay in reporting him missing?

Poor bloke, though. There was no evidence that he'd tried to brake, so suicide?

Yes there was a delay of a few days I think. Think he had been drinking, also there was some connection to drugs. Strange case I thought.

I thought it was strange, too. Only married a few weeks! The drug thing didn't come out until later, did it?

He died very soon after going missing, didn't he?sad.

I'm surprised though, that the Police look for missing adults. I thought it was just children they took seriously?

I remembered this from our local news last year. There was very little to show that a car had crashed through the roundabout. The driver was well over the drink drive limit and was going at such a speed that the car hit the kerb and flew into the trees. Did you see how high up his wing mirror was? It was very sad.
No wonder his wife didn't want to appear on the film, after waiting three days to report him missing.

I did not watch this, too close to home as I my DS1 went missing for a few days last month(I posted at the time, he was found safe and well).
The Police acted very quickly and searches began immediately.
I think it depends on circumstances and local police policy.

I watched this programme and was amazed that his wife did not report him missing for three days. The police investigation revealed that the driver made no attempt to apply the brakes and unfortunately hit a tree several feet from the ground. Trees are pretty unforgiving and the poor man probably died on impact.

I couldn't believ e a newly wed waiting three days to report him missing totally unbelievable Three hours and most people would be worried Poor man I hope it was instant and he was dopey from drink or drugs and didn't really know
His brother was broken

I was surprised ( unless I missed it) that there was no mention of his mobile phone. I would imagine him to have one.

I watched it to and I've thought about that young man a lot today, such a very sad end to a young life. I still can't get my head around why his wife would wait3 days to report him missing either. And when the police went to talk to the young couple who had hosted the bbq, why did the young woman deliberately with old the information that there had been an altercation between the missing man and his wife, that actually involved her hitting him, but thought it "hadn't been important ". A little child left without a father; a wife with no husband and an utterly broken brother and family. So very sad.

I watched the first programme about two missing children and the police went into action very quickly especially with the girl who left what might have been a suicide note. I was surprised that they took so much trouble talking to the children once they'd found them

Besides waiting 3 days to report the young man missing his wife said he'd gone missing from home, not from the friends' barbecue. She seemed to be covering up a huge row or something.

Chewbacca Tue 25-Apr-17 23:31:44

Agreed Elrel it was all a bit odd wasn't it? So many of them "forgot" vital bits of information, or "didn't think it was important". I also thought it was a bit strange that the wife suddenly found that wallet or booklet with all those letters demanding money for unpaid bills. If it had been hidden in the bottom of a chest of drawers, what made her go there and find it?
