OK its probably me BUT while watching Mary's beautifully presented programme last night I just felt that she her cooking had slipped back a decade or two. I was rather surprised last week at the amount of butter and cream she uses and thought it might be a one off but it went on again this week. I also understand that special occasions and treats deserve special food but I thought this was supposed to be everyday food. If Mary ate that kind of food on a daily basis she would be at least twice her size. I know I would.

DH said that to me last night. I was only half watching it, but he wanted to know why she wasn't like the side of a house after eating all that rich food. I told him that when we saw her eating a spoonful of something, she didn't go on to finish the rest as soon as the camera was off her. I read somewhere that she normally eats very sparingly in order to keep her weight down. Wish I could!!

I'm finding this series just too twee. All the over effusive adjectives are making me shout at the tv grin
In my humble opinion, Mary needs to have her false nails removed and to stop poking them in the food!
Apart from that I like it wink

Yes Lona I spotted that. My Domestic Science teacher would have put us outside the room and not allowed us to cook for both misdemeanours and I don't like the smirking into the camera 'delicious'.
