If you haven't seen the film. 'Lion', I recommend it very highly. The true story of a little Indian boy who ends up in Australia. I won't give away the plot because you really don't want to know. It's a true story which makes it all the more amazing. Dev Patel has been nominated for an Oscar for a supporting role, though I'd have thought he was in a leading role.Nicole Kidman is excellent as the Australian adoptive mother - a calm and understated performance.

I hate to tell you this annodomini, just in case you wonder why there isn't a response to your OP, there was a Lion thread a little while ago. Yes it was a superb film, loved it so much more than La La Land. Incredibly moving, Nicole Kidman and Dev Patel excellent, and the little boy who played the young Saroo was wonderful.
