over 75 tv licence

I didn't know until James Whale said on LBC97.3 that the tv licence was free for the over 75s,my husband doesn't need to pay being 77, I rang the tv licencing this morning and they were very helpful and even said there would be a rebate for the months overpaid. happy christmas all

They are very quick at refunding the money as well. I didn't realise we only needed to pay half the amount of a TV licence as DH is registered blind. When I rang them they changed the direct debit immediately and two year's worth of overpayment was refunded by the end of the week. grin
