Walking stick with seat?

There are some fantastic looking ones around - some are light and you can sit on them and put shopping in the sides. A bloke at our church has a really snazzy looking one. Make sure it is adjustable or you can end up with a stoop !

I bought one to use in town but found that I was unable to balance while sitting on the seat. I am in my eighties so maybe it is an age thing. If you can, I suggest you borrow one for a few minutes and try it out, while standing (and trying to sit on it) by a wall or stout fence. That is, you have something to grab onto if you wobble over. That is the voice of experience!

What about a foldable triangular rollator with a seat?

DH does not need a rollator, he does not even need a stick when walking, but at times he cannot walk more than a couple of hundred yards without a rest. He has one of these sticks that turns into a seat. with three legs and a round seat and it works very well. Unfortunately we bought it in a supermarket in France, so I can give you no details about make etc.

I have just got it out for a three day trip to Buxton, inconveniently hilly, but we are attending the G&S festival at the Opera House
