Where to stay in Blackpool

I'd stay just outside of Blackpool myself and would suggest Thornton Cleveleys, which is at the North Shore end of Blackpool. It's an easy walk along the sea front into Blackpool itself. Alternatively, the trams run straight through Blackpool and into Thornton Cleveleys every few minutes and costs £1.80 for a single fair. If you have a look on TripAdvisor for recommended B&B.s., there are dozens to choose from.

On a more serious note, St Anne's is very nice and only a short bus ride away.

I think they have settled on booking a caravan on a small private site a few miles out of town
