Spending 2weeks in Gainsborough Lincolnshire

Hello I will be spending 2weeks in Gainsborough Lincolnshire entertaining my 2yr old DGD while my DD and SIL decorate their new house. I am new to this area and the only transport will be a bus or maybe train, do other gransnetters have any tried and tested suggestions apart from swimming and parks of where to take her?

I am afraid I cannot offer any suggestions.

I have to say though, I love Lincolnshire, lovely friendly people and their FISH & CHIPS, what can I say, with those lovely Lincolnshire potatoes fried in lard, what a real treat!!.

Try the local GN Lincolnshire site but probably even better to try MN - if you're not a member, it's as easy to join as GN and it has local sites as well and a much bigger membership base. Also, surf local NCT, mother and toddler groups etc in the area - there is often an 'ideas for days out' page
