I think Camilla pitched it just right in her embroidered dress by British designer Anna Valentine. This was at the viewing of the Bayeux Tapestry in London yesterday.

I thought the Queen Consort looked really good last night.

She also seemed happy and more relaxed than in recent months.

She is wearing her Chanel two tone court shoes, I really like them. Macron looks impeccable as ever.

She has good taste. She always looks nice and never over dressed.

I really like the Queen’s outfit. It is a beautiful design.
(Do you think her hair would suit her better if it was sleeker, without the flick ups?)

Aveline Thu 03-Sept-26 09:59:06

It is a lovely dress. They must all have agreed to wear white.

I think the Queen always hits the right spot with whatever she wears. A nice ensemble and never over stated.

I thought it was going to be a humorous comment on the men's suits!
The king is looking a bit shabby here I feel - I think perhaps he's lost weight and needs a "nipping in"...

Could the choice of white perhaps be deliberate because the lighting is very subdued in the exhibition room, the idea being to light just the tapestry itself. The ladies therefore lifted the dark colours of the mens' suits?

Queen Camilla's dress is beautiful. I thought the King looked a bit crumpled, I wonder what he had in his pocket.

NotSpaghetti Thu 03-Sept-26 10:19:05

MiniMoon I hadn't looked at the pocket!
Just the fit...

MartavTaurus Thu 03-Sept-26 10:21:53

White in the darkness.

I think I spot Andy Burnham's wife wearing white too.

Nice

I can never see a photo of macron without thinking of the stories that he wears overpowering amounts of fragrance, I aways wonder how the people next to him cope, I find that kind of thing unbearable so it always sticks in my mind smile

Queen Camilla’s dress is beautiful with the embroidery on it but I wish she’d change her style a bit. I’m not sure what they call the look - is it Princess style? - but it’s always the same, those long seams and a long v-neckline.

Macron’s trousers are too long, the King’s suit is…um…well worn in. grin

I love the pleating on Mrs Burham’s dress.

Aveline Thu 03-Sept-26 12:53:17

I'd wear Camilla's style of dress all the time if I could find it. So flattering.

Yes, me too, Aveline.

Camilla has found a style which suits her and tends to wear variations of that style. She always looks good, that dress is lovely.

SueDonim Thu 03-Sept-26 13:01:32

Do you think? Her coats remind of those quilted housecoats women used to wear in the 60’s. Though who doesn’t want to go to work in their pj’s? grin

Nice

Wow, spot on. Pretty but simple. Hair too.

Imo Camilla always just about gets it right. I don't like Macrons style generally. I like a touch of soft.

The King has far too much in his jacket pocket……..there’s a distinct bulge……maybe it’s a bag of humbugs??

The missing piece of the Bayeux Tapestry?

Camilla always wears the same style of dress be it in different colours. It does suit her. I’m sure she has them made to order. Andy Burnham’s missus looks better here than she did on her walk into No 10…. I felt embarrassed for her. 🫣

Whitewavemark2 Thu 03-Sept-26 13:56:51

The late queen always wore more or less the same style as she got older.

Sensible decision I think. Find something you are happy and relaxed in and stick to it.

Casdon Thu 03-Sept-26 13:59:42

I’d be very annoyed if I was called somebody’s missus, she is an independent career woman. Her name is Marie-France van Heel.
Her dress was nice, I like the pleated skirt, and it was more on trend than the other ladies’ dresses - although I wouldn’t choose white.

MissAdventure Thu 03-Sept-26 14:06:22

I think its about the nicest I've seen Camilla look.
I rather like the king looking a little rumpled, too.
