Winter draw(er)s on!

I have socks on for the first time in six months! In saying that, Ii's a lovely day outside and I may have to take them off, my feet are too hot! ?

I'm still in my summer scruffs, albeit with a jumper. I keep thinking that I must look and see what I have and what needs replacing for the winter. Given the current situation, it won't be the smart stuff!

I'm back into camisoles & silk vests! Don't mind at all. Love the change of seasons.

Long sleeved T shirt today with lightweight jeans, but I have pulled all of my Winter clothes onto the bed to sort.
Sadly, Summer stuff will be put away, it’s sunny today but a cool breeze and now it’s clouding up so I think that Summer has gone.

Might have worn a thermal vest to work today, oh not just a vest you understand!

I'm afraid I've topped up an otherwise healthy diet with Penguin and Kitkat, for six months, under loose summer clothes, so am nervous about trying on my winter clothes.
Also went from long curly dark blonde hair in March to short and grey so might have to buy some new colours nothing to do with the weight of course.

I started off in jeans and t shirt and flip flops, then got chilly at my desk so the cardi went on, and furry slippers. Then wore my padded cosy jacket on top for a walk. Layers are the answer. Going to dig out my woolly scarf later.

I am a coldie and barely come out of sweaters and socks all year although I did earlier on when we had the very hot spell, I even wore a summer, sleeveless dress. Wish I wasn't a coldie. DH walks around in shorts and T shirts all year. It's sunny here and DH has gone out to the garage so the heating has gone on which I will turn off before he returns!!

Decided last night that today would be first day of winter. So all my summer clothes went into the wash to be replaced by sweaters and layers.

This morning, first thing when I went to do the supermarket shop (at 7.45AM), it was nearly cld enough for a winter coat.

Yep, got my autumn wardrobe ready, love Autumn winter fashion and all my scarves sorted

I'm another coldie so donned the vest yesterday for starters. Thickish black tights which I'd bought new early this year and forgot about them. Trousers and a jumper and shoes with toes in them after 6 months in toeless summer shoes.
I've got boots for the Arctic blasts later on in the year.

My heavy hooded sheepskin---which feels heavier each year, yes it's years old but has been a godsend in the cold, no draughts and it doesn't mind getting wet.

As a northerner autumn has always been my favourite season.
All I've done is put on an extra layer on top. Silk teeshirt vests that I buy from John Lewis.
I have some wool jumpers for later.
OTH our Romanian cleaning lady came today very pleased with some warm tights and a fleece hoodie that she had bought from one of the many second hand shops here.

This morning took my laptop through to bedroom, then put away cropped trousers sorted out long trousers and ordered online cords base layers and autumn shoes to top up winter wardrobe. Nearly put a cardigan on but did not. Also contacted log supplier to top up logs for the burner. Nice feel to autumn coming.

Done the same as well. Darker clothes now for me. Sliders and flip flops put away, sketchers trainers now being worn and feet are comfortable and warm.

Yes, this weekend we went in the loft, down came all the Autumn/winter clothes, up went summer wear.....had a good sort out, some bits I won't want so goes to charity shop....ordered some fresh Autumn clothes from sea salt and M&S.....and I also wore socks for the first time since March lol.....

Still in T shirts most days with a cardigan on top but sorted autumn clothes over the last few days and will wear trousers to work today. Hate changing over and leave it as long as I dare I am a bare foot person. However have just had new boots delivered from M&S for when it’s cold enough

Wore my boots for the first time again yesterday, plus a cosy jumper over leggings. Love winter clothes and can't wait to put away all the summer stuff, yay!!!

Another coldie here, a week ago shorts, now jeans. My Damart delivery came on Saturday with thermal t shirts and tights. I love the smells and sights of Autumn, but not the chill, new jeans and jumper being delivered from M&S today, boots dusted off.

I don't have summer and winter clothes as such. Just put on an extra layer and wear socks rather than bare feet.

I have around 70% summer stuff (not keen on winter) 20% winter and 10% that will do both
Have been having a sort out although since children left home have enough hanging space so dont have to box stuff up
Not planning on buying much little point with nowhere to go have just replaced any worn basics

Today I have on, navy thermal tights , a Seasalt t shirt and a navy corduroy pinafore dress. Again Seasalt. All at least 5 years old but warm Most of my summer clothes are now put away.
