I cannot help but admire these companies for selling such simply constructed footwear at such huge markups. A triumph of marketing (and probably some luck somewhere e.g. Kate Moss wearing their products). I have never bought either apart from some discounted ones for GKds.
We now have a Crocs shop. £35 for a pair of shoes that must cost pennies to make. About £25 for kids ones.
They have them in Costco for a tenner less if anyone is thinking of buying some. And I guess there is still a generous markup on that price.

. Clarks used to do foot-shaped shoes and I loved them, went abroad for a couple of years, came back and they'd stopped making them! Beautifully comfortable to wear, rather weird-looking. Bit like Crocs, really. Anyone else remember them?
