Just been watching the great north run and it fills me with pride being from here. To say Andy Burnham has gone up in my esteem after he has run it and said the north doesn’t get much of a good press most of the time made me feel so proud to be a Geordie. Some of the stories are heartbreaking and I watch it every year in tears.
