I have just had a realistic looking email from e.on, subject Winter Payment Confirmation. It says they’ve overcharged me and I will be refunded £85. It invites me to click on a link that wil, of course, go to a fraudulent website.
I know it can’t possibly be real as I haven’t had an account with them for over 20 years, but it really is quite convincing. I’ve sent it on to e.on’s phishing account for investigation.
