Does anyone have experience of cat having to have it's tail amputated. Does it usually adapt OK. Can it balance alright. How does it express it's mood etc.

My son’s cat had its tail and one leg amputated, due to an accident. She lived very well for 15 years afterwards.

Same here, our cat now 15 years old had his tail amputated as a kitten. No problems at all he has lived and continues to live a full and happy life. Don't worry Twopence your cat will be fine.
