I have a very active miniature schnauzer who will be having a cryptorchidectomy for a retained testicle in a couple of weeks.
He usually has 3 walks a day, at least one off lead when he runs like a mad thing.
I know to keep him calm with a blow up collar or baby grow type vest but I’m asking for suggestions of what to do to keep him stimulated for the days after the surgery. He will chew pizzels and braids for a while and he loves to tear up junk mail and chew a plastic bottle for a few minutes. He isn’t interested in anything in his toy box and is fussy with food.
I’m putting together boxes and toilet roll middles but all suggestions of what to do with them are welcome. I’m happy to buy him something if that is recommended. The days will be long without his daily walk so all suggestions are appreciated.
Do you agree with me or parent and child?
