Has anybody else noticed this phrase being used to replace ‘spill the beans’? I’ve seen it a number of times recently.
I’ve also been looking at TikTok, and see young women flogging stuff at ridiculously low prices, and nearly all saying they are ‘obsessed’ by a skirt, top, or other item. I suppose it makes a change from ‘stunning’.

Spilling the tea is gossip, I think. I've heard 'I've got some tea on [celebrity of choice] to mean that the speaker knows something about them.
I know what you mean about 'obsession', but psychological terms have always been used to describe fairly moderate behaviour - usually when it irritates the user. It used to be that people 'had a complex' if they worried about something, had 'a fetish' for Eastenders if they watched it regularly, are OCD if they like things tidy, and 'obsession' is more of the same.
It was the same when people believed in 'humours' 
. People were 'phlegmatic','sanguine' etc. It's just shorthand, really. It's annoying when you mention something twice (often because it was ignored the first time) and are accused of being 'obsessed' though.
