"The Metropolitan Police is carrying out a criminal investigation into allegations Reform UK broke the law in relation to foreign funding, following a broadcast by Channel 4 News last week."

I didn't watch the programme but I will now as it was recommended on the Rest is Politics as shining a light on how Reform conducts it's business.

So the police must think there is a case to answer.

I can imagine that Farage and cohorts will be trying to clear the decks of a anything incriminating

About time.

Mr Farage has said, in advance of any scrutiny, that it is a "stitch up'. I'm more inclined to see this as a confession than a rebuttal of facts.

Good 👍

Farage complained that it was entrapment but what was done was perfectly legal and ethical. You can only get "entrapped" if you are doing something that you shouldn't.

Glad the police are investigating. Reform should not get away with criminal activity.

It's also front page news on CNN

" Police launch criminal investigation into allegations Britain’s hard-right Reform UK party broke campaign finance law"

Farage likes to be in the news, so I'm sure he'll be very happy or perhaps not. Will Trump threaten the UK govt for being nasty to his friend? Cambridge university is "examining" the conduct of James Orr, who stars in the Channel4 documentary. He teaches religion in the faculty of Divinity. Pity Orr didn't remember proverbs 28:18
"The one whose walk is blameless is kept safe, but the one whose ways are perverse will fall into the pit."

On CNN. Wow!
