I have lifted this brief report from the Beeb newsfeed

"Nigel Farage has won the Clacton by-election, which was boycotted by other major Westminster parties
Farage won 22,239 votes, with Count Binface in second with 9,455 votes

The contest was triggered when the Reform UK leader resigned as an MP last month, in order to have a by-election he would stand in, Farage made the announcement while under investigation for a £5m gift he didn't declare

He didn't attend the result declaration in person, with Reform saying police advised against it

- the BBC understands that is not the case

"I am damned if I am going to stand on a stage, having won a resounding victory... and be demeaned and humiliated by nobodies," Farage told supporters before the result was confirmed

Turnout was 44.37%

So what has Farage gained from this farce?

Personally, I shall turn to Macbeth....

"Life's but a walking shadow, a poor player,
That struts and frets his hour upon the stage,
And then is heard no more.
It is a tale
Told by an idiot, full of sound and fury,

Signifying nothing

Since now he is an MP the investigations will resume.

And still lying, this time about a police warning.

I take it you aren’t a Farage supporter. I think considering he wasn’t a serious contender that Count Binface did very well and he turned this non by-election into fun, something we all need some of atm. Time will tell with Farage but he certainly has a lot of followers. I wouldn’t call him an idiot either - that is to underestimate him.

So much hatred of Farage. It is ridiculous, he’s just another politician, like it or not. I would not trust any of them these days and there is a lot of pot, kettles, black amongst them.

Isn't this the third thread about this already?

It it the third Thread, and GNs are still commenting.
Enjoyed the Binface antics. He or his his team produced a video which made Clacton look like a place to visit.
How often will Farage visit now?
He didn't even turn up for the results.
