Sorry, but this horrifies me!
I know I’m pretty active on the N&P but so much is happening in this world of ours at the moment and most of it horrific and scares me.

Over 2,500 already dead and more to come and threats by Trump holding no water whatsoever. What comes next?
Yes is just too horrible. Those innocent people just asking for change so that their lives and those of countless others will be worth living having to pay with their own lives. There are no words.
Trump keeps making threats and promises to the Iranian people but his options are very limited. If he hits the regime he hits Tehran one of the most populous cities with a huge number of young people living there.
I heard a member of the Conservative front bench interviewed this morning (Priti Patel) who said there would be no need to attack Iran physically.
It is more than possible to launch a cyber attack, which would prevent the regime from spreading its message and inhibit its everyday functionality.
All the deaths just so appalling and heartbreaking. I'm praying the threat of execution of this young man and any others doesn't go ahead. What a ghastly theocracy these brave young people have had to put up with. I wish for their sakes they realise their wishes and it eventually gets overthrown. I would like to see the Mullahs captured and put on trial, ghastly people, hanging them crosses my mind, but have to remind myself I hate the idea of capital punishment.
I think I would make an exception for some people TerriBull
I think those mullahs deserve everything they get as punishment for what they've done/are doing to Iran.
That poor protestor is going to be murdered by them at some point today (ie that man they've sentenced to death today). Does anyone know what time they are due to murder him?

Well am no fan of the death penalty but if they were to put members of the regime in a locked room with no exits and set fire to it I would promptly throw away the key and not ring the fire brigade.
I know that sounds harsh and really that’s not me, but when I see the bodies laid out on the floor, and the pictures of the young beautiful brave souls who were killed I think of my own daughters and GCs and how I would feel if was one of them. And the final injury done to loved ones is that they cannot take their loved ones home for burial.
Trump encourages them to carry on fighting with promises of help. Where is this help? Too many have lost their lives already.

I know what you mean. It's heartbreaking, isn't it? There are no words.
BBC News saying that Iran is fast tracking executions for jailed protestors. A 26 year old man due to die within hours.
What will happen if that and other executions go ahead?

I imagine these executions go ahead all the time but the fact they are being fast tracked will just amount to killing the protesters as soon as they are arrested rather than later.
The US is pulling staff out of Qatar as a 'precautionary measure'.
Does this mean Trump is planning to fulfil his promise to help in Iran.
The are base is open to attack from Iran if Trump interferes.

I want the beleaguered Iranian people to be helped but just as I am terrified of the regime am equally terrified of how the US will actually help them.
Liberating people with air strikes will not feel like liberation.
I do wonder how much the promise of " Help" (whatever that means) from the USA has fuelled and encouraged the protests ?
Or would it have happened anyway regardless of Trump's intervention?
If Trump has stirred these people up then he needs to provide the "Help" that was offered.
I’m struggling to think of what help Trump could offer, apart from indiscriminate bombing.
This is all so utterly tragic.
There is also a very real danger that if the US attacks Iran the sizeable number of Iranians who are not hardline but presently sitting on the fence will rally round the regime in the face of this aggression from an enemy of old. This will embolden the regime and so be counter productive.

With you on that one.
I've certainly got a rollcall in my head that goes "If that person and I were in a room together and I had a gun - and complete guarantee of no penalty for doing so = I'd fire the gun - and I wouldnt lose a moments sleep about doing so". Quite happy to add a few currently top Iranians (ie those mullahs) to the list...
Been checking to see what time today the murder is and they aren't releasing the time....
There’s a crazy academic at Bristol University, Prof Millar I think his name is who rants that Iran is too democratic and liberal and all the students and people coming out to protest about the regime have to be liquidated.
Corbyn used to be very keen on Iran up to becoming Leader of the Labour Party, when it became played down.Mind you he was keen on Maduro as well.😲
Trump could use economic, cyber or military to help the Iranians.
He has threatened to impose an extra 25% tariff on any country trading with Iran.
Maybe some action is imminent or maybe not.

It doesn’t need to be indiscriminate, the US knows where the mullahs are and all the military structures.
I wonder how much of their nuclear capability was actually destroyed? Trump claims that it was everything.

I certainly do not wish to see yet another war, nor one egged on by Trump.
I don’t know what the answer is though, I just want all the fighting to stop, not more to begin
