I was just going to start a thread about the reshuffle but thought I'd check before posting it.

Three women now hold three of the top jobs:
Yvette Cooper as Foreign Secretary
Shabana Mahmood is Home Secretary
Rachel Reeves remains as Chancellor of the Exchequeur.

Interesting.

David Lammy is Deputy Prime Minister and Justice Secretary.

Lucy Powell and Ian Murray have lost their jobs as Leader of the House and Scottish Secretary.

I'm pleased that a reshuffle is happening but it should never have had to take this last week's events and this morning's resignation to trigger it. Starmer would have gained so much more respect/kudos if he had had the balls to sort the mess on his own doing.

I am glad she has resigned. She was doing some excellent work in housing.

I like clear thread titles.

I agree that Rearranging the deckchairs on the Titanic is a very silly title - sorry, but this is just buying into the sort of media nonsense that we can all do without.

Humour is fairly important when talking about politics, court jester and all that.

Let’s just hope the Captain spots the next big iceberg in time.
