Doesn’t Cummings understand, given that he’s slating everybody in government and the civil service, that he was the main advisor to the most powerful man in the country at the time. He really can talk the talk can’t he. It is riveting though.
I am reminded vividly of the ‘Thick of It’ where there is a government enquiry. I’ve just finished watching the whole series again. The real enquiry has more bad language.
It is horrible to know that this is the way our Prime Minister and his Government thought about people our age. As if we are disposable as long as the economy doesn't suffer. As if we have nothing to add to society or indeed the economy.
Although I agree the bad language is deplorable, it pales into insignificance in the light of the despicable behaviour of those supposedly steering our country.
The shocking thing is that a great deal of what is being divulged has been known about for a very long time, including Johnson's complete unfitness to be PM and inability to lead the UK through a crisis.

Want to hear how prioritising the economy translated into closing the schools and keeping them closed. Those pigeons are coming home to roost and the economy will suffer from an under-educated workforce.
After all we are a drain on the NHS. I know I am. I was admitted to hospital with a second heart attack during the pandemic, home in twenty four hours, with no follow up. At the time, I said to my husband, I'm sure they are hoping I will die and take some pressure off the system.
