Kwasi Kwarteng's Budget - we got carried away!

Apparently in an article in the FT the former chancellor has said that he and Truss got carried away with their budget. Well guess that's all right then. When you consider the long term harm that has been done to the people of this country, surely there must be some redress? Getting carried away trivialises the catastrophic consequences, surely?

Getting 'carried away' is what people do at a party. I'm so angry about this 'Oh, silly us' attitude. I really don't want to know or care what he thinks and sincerely hope I never hear anything about either of them ever again.

Truss and Kwarteng are responsible for a huge financial hit to so many people and have just walked away from it all. It's shameful.

Did they really think they'd get away with it and the financial markets wouldn't notice - if it were so easy other countries would slash taxes and borrow to spend!
