Airports always give the worst rates - they’re for people who need a bit of immediate cash so the airports cream off a bit of profit.

This is the exchange rate at the Post Office this morning.

If you bought currency at Gatwick WWMK2 you were ripped off.

Although it has never been a good idea to purchase currency at any airport.

I’m not panicking. The markets will settle. This turbulence reflects uncertainty.

In 2009 we got 99 cents for £1 at our hotel reception and we survived to tell the tale!

Better rates are available on line, in High Street Banks and the Post Office.

Ok ug perhaps you will outline what leaving on WTO terms means.

WWMK2 I rely on drugs to stay alive as do many on GN. The EU has a charter which states it is illegal/unethical to "blockade" medicines to any country whether they be in the EU or outside.

They aren’t being blockaded, that is ridiculous, if there is a no deal there is no trade agreement in place on 1 November - simples.

Project fear has been about medicines not reaching the UK through the ports / airports.

Isn’t it time you stopped talking about project fear and instead concentrated on how to actually prevent drug shortage happening?

Using such silly catch phrases stops people actually thinking about the reality of our situation.

So much hyperbole getting spouted right now. It’s ramped up since Boris has promised we are leaving on 31 October.

Time to buckle up! The next few weeks are going to be pretty stormy.

If course the economy going down the pan won’t be the fault of Brexit will it? It’ll be the fault of the gloom mongers and the EU refusing to give into our demands.

I’ve always thought that these city traders have far too much power and can effectively control the economy by pushing currency either was for their own gains . They are ruthless and will only see ££££ signs. To them it’s like one giant game of Monopoly where there is only one winner !

Leavers trumpeting about the U.K. being one of the worlds biggest economies forget it got to that position whilst being a member of the EU. The Empire was the last century folks!
