Dedicated his life to politics and his beloved Labour Party

For 10 years DH flew all over Europe on business mainly with British Airways and gradually earned enough airmiles for us both to fly on Concorde to New York for a short holiday to celebrate our silver wedding anniversary.

We were seated in the last row of seats on Concorde and were enjoying the flight enormously when Gerald Kaufman walked along the aisle and stopped to talk to us. I couldn't remember his name until later but he was very pleasant and had flown on Concorde several times.
