Theresa May has been a very good HS, wonder if she would also make a good PM? Of those mentioned so far I reckon she would do a good job.

I'm so angry with the idiot who allowed 1.1% (or whatever it was) to cause so much instability. If there was going to be a referendum, there should at least have beena 60 or 70% threshold.

Carney was very good. He seems sensible and serious as well as well informed. Shame we couldn't elect him. It was scary how serious he was. He's clearly fighting hard to try to stabilise the economy.

Jacob Rees-Mogg would get my vote to take over the Conservative Party. Throughout the EU referendum campaign his arguments to leave have been measured and well thought out. In the debates I heard him take part in he never resorted to insults or shouting down anyone who disagreed with him, unlike some of those he was debating with. Instead he listened to their arguments and then responded quietly and politely but still with passion and conviction.

My son met Carney and the Deputy Governor, Ben Broadbent, a few weeks ago. They are both very professional (as one would hope) and know their stuff. They both know very well that we're in for a rocky ride and are doing their best to calm the markets, but they can't control the markets. £600bn is available to support the pound, but that will appear on the balance sheet as a debt for decades and will inevitably affect confidence in the UK. The Japanese have already advised de-investment and others will follow.

Who wants an honest PM with principles and doesn't seek out every tv camera
