My biggest surprise was how Christians outnumber other religions. I didn't think anything of it - I was just surprised That "why didn't I know that" question came to mind.

Interesting! Did I pick it up wrong but did it say that one person controls 50% of the money? If so who are they?

It said if there were100 people on earth, 1 person would control 50% if the money.
That just means that 1% of all the people on earth control 50% of the money.
So if there are 7 billion people on earth, it means that half the world's wealth is shared between 70 million people.
It would be interesting to know wherevthey all live, and what the distribution of wealth between those 70 million people is.

I thought it was interesting that 1 person was starving but 14 didn't have clean water.

Thanks janea. I was obviously having a 'duh?' Moment. I thought it was 7% of the population who owned 84% of the wealth. We had a theatre company called the 7:84 company. That was a few years ago of course. Clearly the ratios have changed.

Jane It's possible that 1% of the population owning 50% of the wealth is not incompatible with 7% owning 84%.
Any mathematicians out there?
