It is quite amusing to see how gleefully the newspapers have fallen on the banking stories - at least it takes the spotlight off them for a while.
What most people want to see are criminal charges being brought against anybody, at any level, who was complicit in fraud and corruption. So far, not one person has accepted responsibility for the whole sorry mess.
Nothing partisan about this - the rate-rigging appears to have taken place under the last government but I await with interest Cameron's decision on whether or not to set up an independent enquiry.
