Data protection act

Hi, does anyone know the following: if my trustees in bankruptcy seized my laptop and haven't downloaded my personal data to give back to me as requested and promised, but then go onto sell my laptop, have they breached the Data Protection Act?
Any help MUCH appreciated! X

I suggest you look at this web site, you can ask them this question on the site.

From others comments it would seem that your data is protected and they should return the hard drive/s

You have a right under the Data Protection Act to request any information. You may make a complaint to the Information Commissioner's Office about a breach of the DPA. The Information Commissioner may serve an enforcement notice upon them.
