Post pandemic illnesses

Yes, definitely. I think our immune systems are compromised after Covid. I have no idea whether it is Covid itself or whether the vaccinations pay a role but no doubt the usual resident expert will come and give us the facts and tell us we are wrong.

It's just that we're coming into contact with bugs again after being in lockdown then wearing masks etc. Suddenly were out and about.

Yes lots of Illness around. I’ve heard a lot of Scarlet Fever talk.

There is Scarlet Fever in the little local primary school by me.
We are slightly anxious as it is where The Imp goes to pre-school and his sibling is in the main school.

All the GC (aged 2 - 14) are constantly ill with something or other and of course being generous souls they share it with us all …

What Aveline said. Isolating stops the spread of illnesses as it is meant to do. The bugs are still there though.

Apparently quite a bit of Scarlet Fever around in our primary schools my two grandsons came down with it last week but were promptly prescribed medication by GP and are not particularly unwell thank goodness.
Quite a few chest infections around and flu the uptake of the flu vacinne is reported to be lower this year.

DH and I both picked up Covid just over a week ago.
I agree so many minor illnesses around. Colds are vile and yes Scarlette fever in children is raising its head. Sadly a local school lost a child with Strep A infection last week.
My kids had a Strep A infection when they were in junior school that went around but it wasn't a problem.

Interesting, everyone I hear who has had recent Covid, missed it first time around.
However I was only positive for 3 days and just had a cold, DH has been quite poorly, but he's getting over it now, so glad he was vaccinated.

We need to get our immune system on the right pathway again.

Yes, I had a virus that became a chest infection. My 3 year old grandson shared his runny nose and cough with me. He’s had 2 weeks off school and looks skinny and tired. His parents both had 5 days in bed, in heard of and luckily, not at the same time
My gp says it’s because we are mixing maskless again, our immunity is weakened because we weren’t exposed to the usual bugs during lock down.

My family and friends have had continual coughs colds and flu like illnesses. Our little GC are twins six and three they have been sick most weeks with one thing and another. Scarlet fever conjunctivitis foot and mouth upset tums and the runs. It seems like every week it's something different.

I habe been in bed for a couple of days with a bad cold cough and sure throat. Along with that I have a toothache under a crown which isn’t getting better. Only ever had toothache once before and paracetamol isn’t helping.

I had avoided COVID altogether until last month )so was feeling a bit complacent) which started a day after my 4 th COVID jab.

Feeling very miserable 😩 today
