Four months ago I had a blood test to help diagnose a tremor in my hand. At the same time I requested a cholesterol test. A few days later I was told that my platelets were extremely low, as was my white blood cell count. I had further blood tests and a bone marrow biopsy. The assumption was that I had Leukaemia or Lymphoma or myelodisplasia. This week I was told that they have no idea what is causing my symptoms. I don't have any type of cancer or any other nasty illness, for which I'm really grateful. I will continue to be monitored by having blood tests every month and being seen by a consultant every 3 months. Has anyone else experienced this and if so, does it come right all by itself in time?
