Prozac to aid pain management

I was offered anti deppresants for pain relief but I refused because of 'other' side effects, this site has some interesting reading;

As reactions are so individual it is sensible to be cautious. Was wondering synonymous if you have been assessed at a pain clinic? If not it might be worth asking for a referral, good to have a chat with someone who is specialist in pain management.

When I was working as a Consultant Nurse in rehab (physical) we frequently prescribed antidepressants in conjunction with pain control and found that patients who were unable to cope with the physical and mental pressures of continued rehab routines were then able to manage and their rehab was more successful. Pain clinics frequently prescribe similarly. I think its worth a try under close medical supervision.

I have been to a pain clinic cornergran and am quite happy with what I am currently using but a new (to me)GP seems to have other ideas.
