DH has gone in for a thoracoscopy this morning. After telling the doctor he had difficulty catching his breath over the last couple of months he has had scans and x-rays. There is fluid in his chest cavity, too little for them to be able to do a bronchoscopy. He has not been told much, or that is what he tells me, so of course I googled it. I think the umbrella term for his condition is pleural effusion and there can be several causes. Do any of you have any experience of a thoracoscopy procedure?
