Anyone else not mad keen on sweetcorn?

I have a massive bag of frozen mixed veg (peas, carrots, green beans, sweetcorn) used by a dd as an ice pack when bringing dinner recently. She’s left it here, so I’m duty bound to use it up (also taking up too much room in my small freezer) so we’ll have some tonight, with a roast chicken.

But since dh isn’t mad keen either, I shall be picking all the bits of sweetcorn out - before cooking - and it’ll be going out for the birds tomorrow.
At least it won’t be wasted!

The only thing I buy tinned sweetcorn for is that it seems to enhance the tuna mayo filling in the bakes potatoes which are my quick meal of choice. It seems rather boring without the sweetcorn. I wouldn’t leap over you to eat it for any other reason.

I waste a lot of fresh veg because there’s only me and I will eat one portion and forget I have the rest lurking in the bottom of the fridge!! DD suggested I buy some frozen mixed veg, so I bought a bag of Morrisons broccoli, cauliflower, carrots and peas. Looking for the broccoli was like trying to find the source of the Nile!

I find it indigestible. I give it to the ducks who congregate on the village pond. Much better for them than bread.

I have to disagree about tuna with sweetcorn - to me they just don’t ‘go’.
Tuna and cucumber in a roll or a sandwich, OTOH…😋

I love sweetcorn and fresh sweetcorn is my husband's favourite vegetable.
We're very lucky that our local green grocer sells locally grown sweetcorn at this time of year

Not at all keen, ever since I changed DS's nappy 40 years ago after he had eaten sweetcorn!
Indigestible stuff!

I like sweetcorn, but I’m not keen on carrots, so I’d be more likely to pick them out of a bag of mixed vegetables - they always seem to be by far the most dominant vegetable in the bag.

In think the very fact that it’s indigestible has to be a plus for me😂

It’s the same at Aldi. The broccoli is often mixed with other veg and hidden underneath them. When we used to get a Tescos delivery the broccoli was often out of stock. M&S never seem to have it either.

Sainsburys have frozen bags of mixed veg that doesn't include sweetcorn, I thin it's in their Stamford Street range.

I like sweetcorn, I dislike Tuna, so I’d be picking that out

I love sweetcorn. Fresh, tinned or frozen. I often make sweetcorn fritters and they disappear fast.
