Every Christmas there is a request for Cheese Straws and I have been trying to get this right for about 25 years. This year I thought, good I have cracked it. Parmesan cheese oodles of it,with sharp cheddar, and even a layer of Dijon Mustard. Popped them in the oven and they looked 'done' so got them out. When cooled I tried one - absolutely tasteless. What am I doing wrong. I use bought puff pastry.
