I do like trying new recipes. Especially if they are quick & easy.
Last week it did occur to me that we really were not eating enough vegetables. DH won't eat anything 'green'- yes I know but you can't change the mind of a stubborn 52 year old man who was allowed to get away with it by his Mum. Believe me - I have tried & he now tolerates peas & broad beans! It only took me 28 years.
I went into Sainsburys for the weekly shop & a demonstrator was giving out samples of a dish she had made there using salmon & quinoa- both things DH refuses to eat. It was delicious so I decided to see if I could slip it past him. He loved it!! Even when I told him what he had just eaten.
She was promoting a new website - Sainsbury's Home Made by You & we have eaten a dish from this site every night this week. They are all healthy meals & all very easy.
Obviously you can buy ingredients from any supermarket so not just Sainsbury's products. Last night my fish disliking GC ate Tuna in a pasta bake. I don't stand any nonsense from them I hasten to add- they eat what is put in front of them unless they REALLY cannot stand it. I can't eat coconut so I do appreciate some things are a total no no.
I am very impressed by this site so if you are wondering what you can make tonight that is different I highly recommend it.
Easy Chow Mein tomorrow!
