blender for pureeing food

What about a hand blender? They're neat and easy to use.

My blender which is good is part of my Kenwood chef willsandco so really no use to you but I do hope you find what you want and it is an enormous pleasure to see your name popping up again and to know you are soldiering on and keeping in touch with us. All good wishes to you and your DH.

I have a Kitchen Ninja. It comes with a large goblet/jug and two beakers/cups. One beaker has blades which fit into it. You can puree small amounts in it. It is so good it makes granulated sugar into powder, and it grinds ice cubes when you want to make a cold drink or smoothie. I got it from QVC but have seen them for sale on Amazon.

I have one of these which I use for chopping onions, but I have chopped meat in gravy for the DDs in it. I bought mine half price in debenhams sale.

Otherwise, perhaps a baby food blender would be the right size for one portion.

thanks HildajenniJ, I will have a look. Hello, Annsixty, I am still soldiering on with the motor neurone disease. It is just getting harder to masticate food now. I had a feeding tube fitted last week at Sheffield for when I cant eat or drink at all - but that isn't yet! So, for now, I can eat most things except meat but I reckon I can puree that down a bit, cant I? Hope you are well xx

vq's suggestion of a hand blender is good, mine comes with a 'tumbler' so it doesn't spray everywhere and it is easy to wash up.

Do not buy the Russell Hobbs with the glass bowl, as the bowl chips, or mine did.
