I have never baked. That was until a few weeks ago. I think it's the Mary Berry influence.
I have done her sponge recipe and it wasn't half bad. Now I'm attempting my first fruit loaf.
In my recipe it says: I sachet of vanilla sugar. I couldn't get a sachet, so I bought a pot. Any idea what a sachet might weigh.

Did you buy a pot of vanilla sugar? Go with 15g if so. Otherwise use 15g caster sugar with a small teaspoon of vanilla essence. (With a fruit loaf the quantity is really not going to be critical though).
