Just making Green Tomato Chutney. I went to make some room in the larder & noticed that some from last year- which should now be at their best- have shrunk right down & are very solid.
Does anyone know why this should happen?I use the same old recipe every year & usually leave it one or 2 years before eating. Some of the Old Doverhouse chutney has shrunk too. As larder is on an outside south facing wall I did wonder if this hotter than usual (HOORAY) summer.
I've never worried about storing it in a cool place before but this is the only thing I can think of.
Any ideas?
He has done it! The toolmakers son has resigned!
People we do actually admire? Are there any?
Lest we forget what we have just lost ....

Can make you jump sometimes!
