Down at the beach this weekend I saw this stunningly beautiful white egret. Its neck was very long and seemed to sway in the breeze. Amazing creature. I felt privileged to see it. Do you have this feeling when you see a lovely bird or animal ?

We saw these two stunning butterflies at our local zoo last Friday, in a walk-through tropical house.
A Blue Morpho and a green Malachite.

I fed hedgehogs tonight usually a fox too. I was about to go to bed really late and was surprised to have two young foxes feeding. Its a joy from spring to winter to see how I can help our natural inhabitants.

Where I walk DD2’s Little Dog, I’m sometimes privileged to see a barn owl. I find it absolutely magical.

Years ago, I was working as a nurse in a hospital in North Central Alberta. I was just coming off a night shift and headed out the door of the hospital, when I saw an animal only a few feet away. After a couple of seconds, I realized it was a fox! The fox and I locked eyes and stared straight at one another, and then it turned and ran away. It was absolutely surreal.

Yes I marvel at nature.

On a recent trip to Vancouver we saw Elk, Orca and all kinds of wonderful wildlife but for me the best was a humming bird at the top of Vancouvers public library, I didn’t photograph it because I didn’t want to take my eyes off it for a single second.

I will treasure the memory.

On the small ferry between Nigg and the Black Isle in June an Orca reared up out of the water right in front of me! It gave me a thrill.
My garden, which I shall miss when I move, is teaming with wildlife. The roe deer and squirrels munch their way through. I should appreciate them more than I do. Here's one in the snow last winter.

I love nature and since moving house from a busy road to a lovely bungalow with fantastic views two years ago I take every opportunity to enjoy it. Listening to owls hoot at night and watching red kites gliding above is a joy.

I love nature and all in it.

It always takes my breath away to see a beautiful bird or animal, or indeed a stunning sunset or mountain or lake. thanks

Nana8 Always. I am lucky enough to live in central Scotland where I see beautiful wildlife daily. It's a real privilege!

I used to love watching the badgers in my garden, but had to stop feeding them and the birds due to the appearance of rats. I now just enjoy the muntjac, although they eat my plants.
I also love watching the Hummingbird Hawk moth on the Petunias and the Red Kite who sits and whistles in the Ash tree behind my garden

They are absolutely vile to foxes here, very cruel . We have one visiting now and then but I dare not mention it except to family because he would be murdered .
We have those beautiful blue butterflies up in Queensland, they are a joy to behold. Ulysses butterflies. Once on our travels we saw dozens of them up in the Daintree national park, just flitting around. I’ll never forget the sight.

We don't have as many colourful birds here as you do nanna8 but a tiny swallow, seen close up, is very beautiful.
We also had some blue butterflies in the garden this year.

We have grey squirrels here, not red unfortunately but I have seen the reds in this country. Much prettier than their American cousins.
