Good Morning Everyone ,
A dark but a dry start here in Brackley today .
Up to my usual routine as to getting a bus to Bicester , using another bus stop as the one I use is closed off because of the annual fair in the town , hopefully chat to those I know.
Had a bad night health wise lucky I wear paper undys at night , but I seem to control number 2 when I take lapperamide capsules regularly.
Take Care,
Mick

Good morning from Bristol. The sun is yet to rise, but there is a little light in the east.
Yesterday was tiring as the FAB cafe was very busy from early on. There were 23 attendees, which is a lot. Obviously, there is a need and, because we have the space, we seem to be very successful.
After a hurried lunch, I went to the other village for the library book group. We generally found the book an easy read but there were too many characters and no one especially wanted to read another by the same author.
I was wiped out and did very little once home.
Today is going to be interesting. Mr. Teflon has summoned us for a meeting supposedly to talk about budgets and expenditure, but he is brining re info in the shape of the lady in charge of repairs. I suspect it’s going to be a whingefest, with no result. If it is, I shall leave the meeting. There is no point in attending it.
Dining with DD this evening, stopping on the way to have my sunglasses adjusted again.
I hope everyone is on the uphill route re. health, especially md. Carpe diem 🦩🦩🐦‍🔥🦩🦩

Good morning from Malta where it’s already 26°C rising to 36°C later.

I walked up to the village yesterday and immediately regretted it as it was so hot without any breeze to help.

I was so upset about Alcaraz losing by such a tiny margin, just three points, after a four hour slog. It ruined my day.

Made an appointment to see the doctor so had to walk back to the village again at 5.30pm. There was a queue a mile long and everyone was asking ‘what time was your appointment?’ It was, apparently, a mix up and looked like a ridiculously long wait so I decided to leave it and now have an appointment this morning with a different doctor,

I have got DGS2 this morning for an hour whilst DGS1 is at speech therapy, then DD3 will drop me at the pharmacy for my appointment, saving me the walk one way at least.

It shows no sign of cooling down and September is always a rather humid, sticky month.

It seems the scammers have been busy on GN this morning. I had a job to find this thread.🙄

Wishing you all a good day. ☀️

Good morning all from a brightening North Leicestershire.

I have an early hair appointment today and then Sainsbury's at teatime.

Good morning from a cool, dark Cornwall where I woke very, very early and have been watching Downton Abbey DVDs, drinking tea and eating biscuits. Yum.

Looks like the Gransnet site is in a state with intruders. Hopefully it'll be sorted soon.

Today I have various charity shops to visit which will involve three buses, yippee.

Good morning from s somerset, rain is coming later

We need that rain, the allotment soil is still bone dry and rock hard, just six inches below the surface. I re-made a path yesterday and there are enormous cracks into the ground just below the landscape fabric The landscape bark bag was dry and although very heavy was manageable ie I could manage to lift it into my wheelbarrow, so I went back and bought 4 before they get soaked, Normally it is almost impossible to lift those bags. I won`t need any more this year

I fixed some paths yesterday and spread 4 bags of bark, I am going up there at 8ish to spread the last two and I`ll start to bring the smaller squashes home to cure. The allium bed is ready and I prepped another bed for sleep before potato planting early spring

I did enjoy being outside yesterday, 4 hours passed very quickly. Similar this morning and am again abandoning the idea of cycling, I think rain will start mid-morning

I will be indoors for the day later, I have the usual sewing and knitting and might even dust, certainly will be putting my feet up to watch a film or play or another documentary about Tibet and the nomads

Good morning everyone from Lancashire.
Yesterday we went to Toddler Group where there were lots of new starters. It was the busiest I've ever seen it. It was nice to spot a couple of familiar faces to chat to and the little chap seemed happy to be back.

He fell asleep in the car coming home and stayed asleep when I carried him inside to the sofa which isn't like him. I actually sat down with a brew until he woke up an hour later!

I'm persevering with the snood on circular needles. The 40 cm needles are definitely easier to use than the 80 cm ones but it still doesn't feel as 'natural' as using 2 separate needles. The pattern is emerging and I think will look pretty once done.

We are meeting a friend at a local cafe this morning. I haven't seen her for ages as she goes on lots of holidays. She's very adventurous and it's always good to hear about her exploits.

Hope you have more luck seeing your Dr later, Bellasnana. I'm just amazed you can get an appointment the next day. It's usually a 4 week wait at our surgery.

Wushing everyone the best day possible and hoping all's well with Marydoll. 🌻

An amazing pink sunrise from my bedroom window. Scaffolding in view…

Good morning from the hillside in south Glos, there’s a beautiful red sunrise here but I can’t get a decent photo unlike grandMattie
I changed over my duvet to a heavier one yesterday, slept very well! I was absolutely exhausted and in bed by 6 last night. I didn’t know what to do with myself by mid afternoon, very odd feeling for me. It wasn’t as if I did much, just changed the bed and kept out of the way of the cleaner 🤷🏼‍♀️
Absolutely nothing happening today except for an Ocado delivery late morning.
Pizza for dinner, salad and home grown tomatoes I think.
Best wishes to all x
