Fireworks!

Going off right now!

Why? We live in a terraced house, in streets of terraced houses, with tiny gardens.

We have four dogs in our house, two very reactive.

I just do not understand people.

Aside from the noise and pollution, despite two rainfalls in the last few days everything is very dry still.

Why oh why are some people so utterly selfish and irresponsible?

We live in a similar house and area of terraced streets to you, but in all our years here haven’t noticed any local fireworks.
Do you think it’s something common to your area to do this?
It really upsets pets, they must think a war has started!

Certain areas we have them going off after midnight.
Absolute pain in the backside.
I’d just ban them full stop.

According to D in Birmingham (and don’t ask me how she came by this information) fireworks are sometimes set off as a sign that a drug dealer has a supply to distribute or sell. So if you hear loud fireworks especially in daytime, it could be that!

So selfish.
And fireworks these days have massive bangs, like bombs going off.
I know some people set off fireworks to celebrate a special occasion but there are less selfish and quieter ways to do this.
As you say Cossy even with recent rain the ground is dry as are the trees and undergrowth.
Makes me so cross.
